New Life Life Forms

I recently picked up some new space men from @mr_stratocaster810 on Instagram, including 1 Unitron Spaceman, a Spyrius Spaceman and Spyrius Chief, and lastly 2 Exploriens and 2 Nova Hunters (One of the Exploriens actually has a non-Exploriens head piece, but I'm no purist).

I never had any Exploriens sets as a kid and it looks like there were very many sets made, just 5 in total. I think I had a few Unitron sets and I loved the Spyrius theme. I'm glad to add these guys to my Legoverse.

BrickSlopes 2015!

As big of a LEGO fan, AFOL, or "Brick Head" I am, I have actually never attended any kind of LEGO convention. So, I am very excited to attend this year's BrickSlopes convention! I don't know what to expect or what I will walk away with. At the very least I hope to enjoy myself and find some inspiration for the Lunar City. I need to get past this 'builder's block' funk I'm in and really make some head way on this life long project.

3vil Space Skulls!

I discovered an old LEGO Factory set, (10195) Space Skulls!

This crazy set is just my style and it was designed by a LEGO fan! LEGO Factory was soon replaced by CUUSOO, and now LEGO Ideas. I'm glad LEGO was able to squeeze in a few official sets before discontinuing LEGO Factory. I found the sticker sheet that came with this set for cheap on Bricklink and plan to use the stickers on different color torsos for some fun customization. Stay tuned!

Yet another theme that lends itself to an easy Space tie-in. A Batman Spacesuit. It's ridiculawesome!

UPDATE!!!

Here's 76025 Green Lantern Vs. Sinestro, set to release this month!!! The set is nice n' all, but I just want intergalactic Batman. If I can find this set for $20 I might get it and sell the rest, we'll see.

If anyone is interested in the non-Batman part of this set let me know.

These will be the perfect addition to my Lunar City! My only complaint with Space related LEGO sets these days is the seemingly complete lack of any kind of buildings/structures. Oh well, spaceships are pretty sweet.

So far there are only 3 sets, 76019 Starblaster Showdown, 76020 Knowhere Escape Mission, 76021 The Milano Spaceship. 

It will dang near impossible for me not to shell out some cold hard cash for all 3 sets. I'm actually quite happy it will only take 3 sets to obtain the whole crew. Maybe they will come out with more sets in the future, but for now this is perfect!

UPDATE:

LEGO Guardians of The Galaxy Collection is selling on the LEGO website for $184.96. For some reason 76022 X-Men vs The Sentinel is part of this collection. I dunno why, but what the hey! I suppose there may be some savings in there if you also want the X-Men set.

Lunar What Now?

Hello and welcome! Lunar City is a fictional city located on the 8th moon from a yellow gas giant in a galaxy far, far away. I will be slowly creating that city starting riiiiight...NOW! I will continue building my epic LEGO Space city for the rest of my days and I will be posting updates on my progress right here on this blog. Hopefully that gives me 50 years or so, a mere blink of the eye when you consider the age of the universe! Pretty nuts, but you've gotta admit it's also pretty awesome, right!? If nothing else I hope to have some fun and get a few laughs and enjoyment out of this epic project. Won't you join me as I do what humans do best and create?
